Greetings

Welcome to another edition of your friendly neighbourhood newspaper, The Post. It appears that a spell of wet and/or cold weather is affecting many h2gers at this time. Commiserations to all who are battling high winds, huge drifts or torrential floods. As one who experienced the misfortune of a river rising up through the floorboards (to well over four feet) back in 1988, I have every sympathy for those of you battling against the rising tides. May your sandbags hold and your light and heating remain constant.

A tide of a different kind is sweeping through some of our contributors - namely the tide of writers block. This predicament seems to affect writers most during the long, dark winter - a season of discontent indeed. We hope that their creative juices will soon flow once more. All is not gloom and doom, however. Munchkin emerges from his winter sojourn and grovels in a most appealing manner. Reefgirl begins a new story in her X-Philes series and Waz graphically displays her feelings on the subject of 'the hunt'. In fact, with poems, regulars, travelogues and features there is still more than enough to brighten up your day. Not only that but we are pleased to announce the imminent arrival of a new columnist, Mr Dreadful, who will be pleased to solve all your problems over at his page
